WEEK 4 - LONE LEADERS…BUT DIFFERENT

What a week! We now have a lone 1st Place and 2nd Place but not the same as last week! Congratulations to Richard Hobbs (59-5) for taking the lead. Also to our lone #2 Alan (58-6). 14 contestants were able to maintain a perfect Week 4 which is the second highest number of the season. However, our accuracy as a group was the 3rd best of the season at 76.4%. There will definitely be some movement this week! I can’t remember the last time there was a perfect split in a game but Missouri vs Florida is a 80-80-5 selection! Good luck this week!

WEEK 3 - WE HAVE A LEADER...

Well well well…the perfection was broken in Week 3 AND we have our first stand alone contestant in first place! Before all that…I would like to take the time to tell all of you how much fun I’ve had in this contest but how much it hurts to realize I don’t have a chance this season! I realize that the unfortunate blunder of the NC State QB cost 38 of us a victory but I’m also a delusional Florida State fan who found a way to go 6-10 this week! So good luck to everyone else this season! CONGRATULATIONS to Blake Stacy (44-4) on becoming this season’s first lone leader. Along with Blake, Chris McGriff (42-6) managed to have Week 3’s best result of 14-2! Thanks to Texas A&M’s loss, everyone was treated to two losses on the week. As a group we fell hard from grace only picking an accuracy of 62.5%. I have added a “Weekly Records” tab to the Ledger that shows the frequency of the records for the week. There is potential for movement next week so let’s see if Blake can hold the top spot! Have a Great Week!

WEEK 2 - PERFECTION STILL IN PLACE

I would not have guessed that anyone would have a perfect record after two weeks and definitely not NINE contestants! Great job to those who have managed this feat so far! We also had three others that managed a perfect 16-0 in Week 2. As a group we dropped in accuracy from Week 1 (which is no surprise since 124 of 164 were perfect) from 98.1% to 87.8%. There is lots of room for movement in Week 3! I would like to take this opportunity to make sure everyone is familiar with the functions on the website. I will highlight some things from each tab so you can enjoy all the features. LEDGER This tab has many functions and is where you will begin when logging in. • STANDINGS starts where you currently sit in the rankings so you don’t have to scroll through to find yourself. You can also see your “Favorite” contestants that you marked for quick reference to see how you are holding up to those people you know (you can select your Favorites under the Picks tab in the LEDGER section). o You can also visit previous weeks of the standings and download the standings into PDF. I will be sending this out via email so those who are not utilizing the website can see what is going on. • PICKS gives you a transparent look at how everyone has picked all season. • TEAM SUMMARY shows you a breakdown of each game and how everyone has picked each week. o This can be done by week or team. • WEEKLY UPDATES is where you can find my analysis of each weeks contest. • PERFECT WEEKS is a summary of contestants who have made it unscathed in the week you select. • FIELD ACCURACY shows how we selected as a group. SUMMARY I made a change today because it is difficult to see which games you may have missed. Visit this page and scroll to the bottom to see a table showing how you picked each game. Upon completion of each game, the color scheme will change to show if you got it right or wrong. BOARD This is the location of the message board. Feel free to post comments, questions, or polls here. This is just for fun.

WEEK 1 — AND WE’RE OFF…

After months of making picks, second-guessing ourselves, changing a few, changing them back, and eventually convincing ourselves that this was the year we finally had the SEC figured out, Week 1 gave us our first chance to find out. And for the most part, the SEC made us look pretty smart. But before we get to the football, thank you to everyone who entered this year’s Pick’em. We currently have 152 contestants in the official standings, but that doesn’t tell the whole story. A total of 167 ballots were submitted this year. There are still 15 submitted ballots awaiting payment, and if those contestants complete their entry, we will have the largest field in the history of the contest. Auburn Survives — And So Did a Lot of Ballots Apparently Auburn decided Week 1 needed a little drama. The Tigers escaped Baylor 17–16, which means everyone who checked the Auburn box months ago can simply record the win and pretend they were never concerned. That is one of the fun things about this contest. By the time these games are actually played, most of us have forgotten exactly what we picked. Then suddenly you’re watching the final minutes of Auburn-Baylor thinking, Wait…who did I pick in this game? For everyone who sided with Auburn, the answer was the right one — barely. LSU Makes a Statement LSU provided considerably less drama. The Tigers’ 51–10 win over Clemson was one of the SEC’s biggest statements of the opening weekend. For those who picked LSU, there wasn’t much sweating required in this one. One Week Down Week 1 is officially in the books, but we’re just getting started. One great week doesn’t win this contest, and one bad week certainly doesn’t eliminate anybody. Remember, every one of these picks was made before the season began. As the year goes along, we’re going to find out just how good — or how bad — some of those August predictions really were. Once the contestant field is finalized, we’ll take a deeper look at Week 1 — who started at the top, which games divided the field, where the Pick’em crowd got it right, and where we got it completely wrong. For now, enjoy being undefeated in all the games you picked correctly and conveniently forget about the others. Week 1 is in the books. On to Week 2.

Welcome to the 2026 Season

Welcome or welcome back to the 2026 SEC Pick'em! I hope this new platform works for everyone. There are several features that I hope you enjoy but please know, most features will not active until you have submitted all your picks, selected a tiebreaker, had your payment verified, and the deadline of the first kickoff passes. While placing your picks, you can choose to pick by the week or by team. Splitting picks is no longer an accident. After these elements are complete, you will be able to see all contestants and their picks. You can select friends and family so you see how you are stacking up against them throughout the season. Results will be instant. We also have a message board where you can interact or talk smack! Before these elements are in place you can see who has entered the contest, view previous season history (limited), and change your picks as much as you want. You can also visit the summary page and view your picks in the same format as the old excel version. Also, feel free to download yourself a copy. I'm looking forward to a great season! In the meantime...go recruit more contestants! - Tony May

HOW THE RECORD WORKS

Every SEC team result counts.

Make the complete season's selections once before kickoff—there are no new weekly picks. Your record is then built one SEC team result at a time all season.

01

SEC vs. nonconference

Correctly call the SEC team's win or loss and earn one point.

1 team result • 1 point possible
02

Pick a conference winner

Call Alabama over Auburn correctly, for example, and you called both Alabama's win and Auburn's loss.

2 team results • 2 points possible
03

Split a conference game

Split is available only for SEC-vs-SEC games. It automatically records one correct result and one incorrect result.

Guaranteed 1–1 record
